If you didn’t know: I’m British, played soccer for nearly two decades, and live with a passionate fan of Arsenal Football Club. So, my Reels feed is 90% commentator references and football banter — which, inevitably, has taken over my vocabulary.

There is, in my opinion, nothing more enduring or universally applicable than UK slang — with my current go-to being, “yeah, I rate that,” said (with a strong accent) in response to pretty much anything I find even mildly enjoyable.

Something I haven’t rated, though, is assembling my monthly roundup: THIS & THAT. The news-oriented links roundup format can be interesting, but to really work, I think it has to be delivered weekly — and I simply cannot commit to such a cadence under the structure I’ve established.

I can’t imagine this comes as a surprise: I put off May’s recap to mid-June, only to give you 10 headlines, and the email before that (post-CDMX) was similarly scattered.
